Role: 1st Line Service Desk Engineer Location: Greater Manchester Contract: Permanent Salary: £19,000 - £22,000 Start: ASAP

As the 1st Line Service Desk Analyst you will be responsible for dealing with tickets that come through and resolving failing service as quickly as possible. Other responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of support for the service desk
  • Providing 1st line support via phone, email or portal
  • Escalating incidents to 2nd Line or relevant team
  • Helping other 1st Line Team members
  • Documentation and ticketeting
  • Emphasis on customer service when resolving tickets
  • Identify support trends and help work towards permanent fixes
  • On-call function

Key Skills:

  • 1st Line Support experience is required
  • Understanding of ITIL methodology
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft Office Package
  • Backup (Netapp)
  • VMware
