A top digital product specialist is looking to take on a DevOps Engineer to add to their 20 strong development team. If you’re keen to be part of a real hidden gem based in their beautiful countryside studio in West Wiltshire, prefer office-based work and are still comfortable with mucking in with on-prem / SysAdmin responsibilities, then this could be the one!
What skills you\'ll be needing
Proven industry experience in a similar role or related field.
Experience of architecting, building and supporting infrastructure (eg. configuring servers, storage,
firewalls, routers, switches, including virtualisation).
Solid experience and understanding of open server stack including Linuxs, Apache, MySQL.
Familiar with Agile methodologies, iterative and incremental development.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment where products have to be delivered to fixed
Experience working with development teams to troubleshoot problems throughout the lifetime of
Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably experience of AWS).
Good hands-on knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools like – Terraform, CloudFormationetc.
Proficient in Bash scripting.
Experience in Git and Git workflows.
Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines.
Experience of software containerization platforms and tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes.
What you\'ll be doing
You\'ll be working alongside some SysAdmin and AWS experts, helping this ambitious and innovative company supporting a few areas of business (including but not limited to: servers, storage, firewalls, switches, software, etc). Designing, building and enhancing cloud infrastructure across their client projects and working across a number of projects in a multi-disciplinary team to identify infrastructure technologies and solutions that could be used for upcoming projects and long-term strategies. Provide input on project scoping, architecting, estimating and planning for proposals, pitches and new projects. Contribute to best practices and standards across projects. Shaping maintenance and support efforts on behalf of our clients, including the development of SLA agreements.
